Blog 5: My future job
Hi ✌😊
This week I will tell about my work. I will talk about the expectations,
dreams and wishes I have, my specialties in the area of Social Work and the
average salary they pay here in Chile, among other things.
I am a Social Work student at the University of Chile, I am in my fifth
year and I am about to graduate, I only have the English course left and I
finish.
The discipline of Social Work in Chile does not receive a good salary. I
dare say that it is one of the least valued disciplines within the
institutional framework. This is because, in the midst of the dictatorship, it
was removed from the educational curriculum as a university career. Today we
can say that things have changed but the salary is still low.
One of my wishes, once I graduate, is to find a job in my areas of
expertise. I would like to work or build a project in a municipality like an
office of sexual diversity or work on issues of social movements. All these
areas fascinate me and are very interesting, as well as field work.
Finally, I have thought about applying for a job in southern Chile. If that opportunity is provided, I would not hesitate to accept the job.

sounds like a wonderful job!!, good luck!
